LSD to Google Maps, in one click.
Type a legal land location. Get the GPS coordinates and a map link your crew can open on any phone.

Good to know.
What do I type in?
A legal land location written as LSD-Section-Township-Range-Meridian, like 6-22-77-14-W6. Quarters work too, like NE-10-60-15-W5, and so does a whole section, like 10-60-15-W5.
How accurate is it?
In Alberta it uses the official survey outline of the LSD or quarter. In northeast BC it uses the surveyed section corners. Everywhere else it uses the township grid and is usually within 1 km. The result tells you which one you got.
Can I send the location to my crew?
Yes. Copy the map link and paste it into a text. It opens in Google Maps on any phone, ready for directions.
Is it free?
Yes. No sign-up and no limit. Location lookups go straight from your browser to the Government of Alberta and BC Energy Regulator survey services.
