Field service
Service calls from first request to paid invoice
Dispatch gives a small service company one place for every call: the request from your website, the quote, the booking, the tech's visit and the invoice. The customer gets a confirmation, the tech gets a text, and the office gets paid.
The calls come in faster than the paperwork goes out.
Requests arrive by phone, email and the website form. The schedule is in one person's head. The tech finishes the job and the work order sits in the truck until Friday.
Invoices go out a week late, and the overdue ones only get chased when somebody has time, which is never.
How Dispatch handles it
-
Requests land in one inbox
Web form requests come into Dispatch, ready to turn into a quote or a job without retyping the customer's details.
-
Bookings customers can see
Book the visit with an arrival window, and the customer gets a confirmation by email or text. If the time changes, they hear about it.
-
Techs work from a link
The tech gets the job by text, opens the ticket on their phone, and records time, photos, notes and a signature. Nothing to install.
-
Invoice before the next call
Approve the finished job and send the invoice right away, with tax done. The customer pays by card from the email.
-
Reminders that do the chasing
Overdue invoices get automatic reminders on the schedule you choose, so nobody has to make those calls.
-
Maintenance contracts on autopilot
Recurring service agreements bill on a schedule with recurring invoices, weekly to annual.
How it works
- 1
Request comes in
From your website form or a phone call. The customer is saved once.
- 2
Quote and book
Send a quote they approve online, then book the visit with an arrival window.
- 3
Do the work
The tech gets a text, opens the ticket, and records the visit from their phone.
- 4
Get paid
The invoice goes out the same day with a card payment link and automatic reminders.
Fair questions.
Can we take a deposit before the visit?
Yes. A booking can include a deposit request, and the deposit is applied to the final invoice when the job is done.
Do our techs need to install anything?
No. They open a link from a text message on their own phone. That is the whole setup.
Can each customer have their own pricing?
Yes. Set a customer's rate on any service once, and it fills in on every quote and job for them.
Will it work with our accounting?
Your books stay where they are. Dispatch exports invoices to QuickBooks Desktop today, with QuickBooks Online and Xero coming soon.
