Use case: photo proof of work
Photos and a signature on every job, filed for you
When a customer disputes a charge, the photo that settles it is usually on someone's camera roll. Dispatch puts site photos on the ticket as the crew takes them, along with their notes and the customer's signature.
The proof is on someone's phone
The operator took pictures. They are on their phone, mixed in with family photos, or sent to a group chat where they scroll away by Friday.
When the customer asks why the bill is higher than expected, the office has nothing to show them but the operator's word.
How Dispatch handles it
-
Photos from the phone
Operators take a photo or pick one from the phone, right on the ticket. Up to 30 photos per job.
-
Easy to look through
Photos are turned the right way up and shown as thumbnails on the ticket, with a viewer to click through them.
-
Signature on site
Capture the customer's name and signature on the operator's screen. Require it for the clients who need one.
-
Notes with the photos
Operators add notes during the job and a work log when they finish, so the photos come with context.
-
Receipts too
Turn on expenses and operators can log job costs with a receipt photo. You approve them when you review the job.
-
Who uploaded what
Every photo is tied to the ticket and to the person who uploaded it.
How it works
- 1
Arrive on site
The operator opens the ticket from the text and starts the job.
- 2
Photograph the work
Before, during and after photos go straight onto the ticket.
- 3
Sign off
The customer signs on the phone, and the operator marks the job done with a work log.
- 4
Office reviews
Photos, notes and signature are on the ticket when the office approves it and bills.
Fair questions.
How many photos can a crew add?
Up to 30 per ticket.
Can the office see photos without asking for them?
Yes. Photos show up on the ticket in the office as soon as they are uploaded, in a viewer you can click through.
Is the signature on the paperwork?
Yes. The signer's name, the time and the signature print on the ticket PDF.
Can I require a signature before a job is closed?
Yes. Turn on field signatures for a client and the operator cannot mark that client's jobs complete without one.
Do operators need an app for this?
No. They use the link from their dispatch text, in the phone's browser.
